Top Ten Bollywood Actors On Forbes Top Celebrities List

Forbes has a reputation for putting out celebrity lists every year.  This list is made based on the celebrities’ popularity quotient and their calculated estimated earnings.  Recently, they released their top 100 celebrities of India list. Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have consistently made it to the list almost every year.  With a new generation of versatile actors coming in to Bollywood, the list is slowly undergoing changes in who reigns at the top. Let us have a look at the Bollywood celebrities who made it to the top 10 of the top 100 celebrities list by Forbes.

Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar stands second on this list, trailing just behind Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli.  Akshay Kumar also holds the distinction of being the only Indian on the world’s highest paid celebrities list by Forbes.  The year 2019 saw him delivering multiple hits like Kesari, Mission Mangal and Housefull 4.

Salman Khan

Salman Khan ranks third on this list.  His film Bharat, produced by him, grossed Rs. 325 crores at the box office.  He also hosts the successful reality television show Bigg Boss 13.

Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan ranks number four on this list.  He starred in Thugs Of Hindostan and 102 Not Out this year.  Even though these films did not fare well at the box office, it did not stop him from making it to the top 10.  He also finished hosting season 11 of the reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan ranks six on this list.  Although 2019 saw no releases starring him, he has Don 3 lined up for 2020.  His banner Red Chillies Entertainment scored big with the Bollywood movie Badla and Bard of Blood, a Netflix series.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh ranks seven on this list.  He has a massive social media outreach, which contributed immensely to his credit.  In 2019, he delivered a box office hit, Gully Boy, a film inspired by the lives of Indian rappers Divine and Naezy.  The film was so successful it was India’s official entry at the 92nd Academy Awards (Oscars 2020,) in the International Feature Film category.  The film was, however, not shortlisted.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt ranks eight on this list.  The massively popular social media star also starred in Gully Boy and Kalank.  Alia Bhatt has multiple brand endorsements like Frooti, Lay’s, Uber Eats, MakeMyTrip and Maybelline, amongst others.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone ranks number 10 this list.  She starred in the box office hit Padmaavat in 2018 as Rani Padmavati.  She has a new movie, Chhapaak, lined up for release in 2020.  It is a story about an acid attack survivor and is based on Laxmi Agarwal.  Deepika Padukone will also star in ’83, a biopic about Kapil Dev, as Romi Devi, Kapil Dev’s wife, opposite Ranveer Singh.

The year 2019 has been a good one for these actors and we can only hope to expect more from them in the future.  It remains to be seen how this list changes next year, but it is likely these actors are going to feature on it again.
