Rajkummar Rao About The Remake Of 1975 Movie Chupke Chupke

Talented actor Rajkummar Rao recently confirmed he would be a part of the remake of Chupke Chupke.  It was in April 2019 that news of Rao joining the film started making the rounds.  It was reported the actor would reprise the role of Dr. Parimal Tripathi, portrayed by Dharmendra in the original film.

Rajkummar Rao also added, “It’s a big responsibility to step into his shoes. The scripting is underway now. We know that we can’t match Hrishida’s (Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Director) standard, but we will try to put our best foot forward.”

The 1975 movie Chupke Chupke was a remake of a Bengali film called Chhadmabeshi and was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.  The movie starred Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in lead roles.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is busy promoting his upcoming film, Made In China.  The movie is directed by Mikhil Musale and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films.  Apart from Rajkummar Rao, the movie also stars Mouni Roy, Boman Irani, Sumeet Vyas and Amyra Dastur in lead roles.  Made In China will be released on October 25th, 2019.
