Actor Farhan Akhtar, who is busy shooting for his upcoming movie Toofan, suffered a hairline fracture on the set of the film.

The actor shared an X-ray of his hand on his Instagram page with the caption, “When nature plays Tetris .. and yup, that’s my first legit boxing injury .. a hairline fracture on the hamate (courtesy @kongkoul ????????)found among the carpal bones of the hand. #nopainnogain #ToofanInTheMaking #trophycollector #weareallthesameinside.”

Farhan Akhtar will portray the role of a boxer in the film.  Akhtar underwent intensive training for months to prepare for his role.  The movie will also reunite Farhan Akhtar with filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.  The duo last worked on the 2013 hit Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, in which Farhan Akhtar portrayed the role of the legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh. 

Farhan Akhtar was last seen in Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink, which also stars Priyanka Chopra, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Suresh Saraf in lead roles.  The film is based on the real life story of Aisha Chaudhary, who lost her life to pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 18. 

On the other hand, Toofan, which also stars Paresh Rawal as Farhan Akhtar’s on screen boxing coach, will be released on October 2nd, 2020.
