Absurd Ventures, the multimedia company founded by Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser, is actively working on a game in the A BETTER PARADISE universe.

While very little is known about what Absurd Ventures plans to deliver with its new A BETTER PARADISE IP, the company is set to release a series of multimedia showcases including an audio drama, a series and a game. The audio drama known as A BETTER PARADISE Volume One: An Aftermath, described as a sci-fi thriller, is set to launch on June 10th and will be the first time fans will be able to experience this new universe.

The 12-episode audio fiction series boasts an impressive cast, including Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead), Shamier Anderson (Invasion), Paterson Joseph (Peep Show), and Rain Spencer (The Last of Us). Produced in partnership with the award-winning audio company QCODE Media, the series promises to deliver a captivating narrative experience that will introduce listeners to the rich world of A BETTER PARADISE.

Houser, known for his work as the lead writer on the Grand Theft Auto series, Red Dead Redemption, and Bully, founded Absurd Ventures in 2021 after departing from Rockstar Games. The studio aims to create original storytelling universes across various media formats, including video games, graphic novels, and audio dramas.

In addition to A BETTER PARADISE, Absurd Ventures has also announced another original IP universe called AMERICAN CAPER, which will debut as a graphic novel illustrated by renowned comic book artist Simon Bisley. The story centers on two dysfunctional American families navigating a world filled with corruption, inept politics, and bumbling crime.

While radio drama fans are sure to be excited about what A BETTER PARADISE Volume One: An Aftermath has to offer, for fans of RockStar games and the work of Dan Houser, the teased game may be the most exciting part of this announcement. While details about the video game remain scarce, a recent job posting from Absurd Ventures hinted at an open-world title set in the same universe.

The studio has been actively recruiting talent from the gaming industry, including former Rockstar veterans such as Lazlo Jones and Michael Unsworth. With so many big names working on the audio drama, including names like Andrew Lincoln, we can all only hope that some of this talent makes its way to the video game side of the project.
