The slow drip feed of information surrounding the highly anticipated The Last of Us series season two over at HBO continues today, with new set photos showcasing Joel and Ellie.

The team over at HBO, helmed by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, have been adept at keeping information from the public regarding the hotly anticipated The Last of Us season two, but today, the series has given fans another look at season two, after drone pictures leaked set photos just last month. HBO has posted on X (formerly Twitter) how the main characters Joel and Ellie will appear in season two, and like everything else on the internet, fans have opinions on the two photos. Like the previously leaked set photos, these don’t reveal almost anything about the overarching series and just show how Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay will appear in The Last of Us season two. Regarding season two, the only details that have been revealed are the leaked photos and the earlier report in March, which revealed all the added cast characters, including the Kaitlin Dever role as Abby. As the season shapes up and more information is revealed, fans, of course, always give their input. Regarding the new photos fans have chimed in.

Comments under the initial X post have been skewed towards fans believing the characters don’t appear as if they’ve aged enough between the two seasons. Many fans have remarked that the characters don’t appear to follow the mythos of the game series, considering five years in the universe have passed between the first game and the sequel, and the characters appear as if a day hasn’t passed.
