Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II & Warzone Brace For Season 06: The Haunting

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone are heading toward their epic conclusion with Season 06: The Haunting, and the season welcomes Spawn into the fold.

As Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beelines for its final season, Season 06: The Haunting, Activision has decided to open the floodgates of information regarding the grand finale. It seems to be business as usual for Warzone for ‘just another season,’ as Activision nears the launch of the third Modern Warfare installment. Although the McFarlane anti-hero Spawn headlines the Battle Pass, there is A LOT more for players to discover during the season, including a crossover with Diablo IV.

Call of Duty Season 06: The Haunting Key Features

  • Spawn isn’t the only creature from Hell sent to adorn the battlefield, additional visitors are also coming to the Gulag from the Underworld. Season 06 is home to big bundles with new Operators from Master of the Universe‘s Skeletor, Evil Dead 2‘s Ash Williams, and Hellsing‘s Alucard. A Doom Weapon Bundle is also available for those itching to liquefy opponents.
  • For the first time in Call of Duty history, Season 06 features a crossover with Diablo IV as the two additional Operators – Lilith and Inarius are set to join the fray.

  • Modern Warfare II – Four maps arrive when the Season launches, two core and two Gunfight maps drop at launch. Deploy to one new and one returning map in Core and Gunfight, from a Las Almas estate to a classic live fire range.
  • Modern Warfare II – Two Haunting Map reskins are coming. El Asilo celebrates Día de Muertos, while the Embassy becomes the site of a horror film with zombies.
  • Modern Warfare II – A frightening twist on classic modes, including twisted takes on Domination, Kill Confirmed, Grind, Drop Zone, and Infected. A roadmap of events has been provided by Activision as the Modern Warfare III launch draws closer, and it can be seen below.

With all of the excitement surrounding the new Call of Duty season, it’s worth mentioning the Microsoft & Activision Blizzard merger has more news, and it seems there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Today the CMA’s (Competition and Markets Authority) Chief Executive, Sarah Cardell, said “The CMA’s position has been consistent throughout – this merger could only go ahead if competition, innovation, and choice in cloud gaming was preserved” BBC reports.

Microsoft’s new deal says they agreed to transfer the rights to stream Activision games from the cloud to the video game publisher, Ubisoft, for 15 years. This sale to Ubisoft of Activision’s business will remove the cloud streaming of games like Call of Duty, Overwatch and World of Warcraft from Microsoft’s control, therefore satisfying the CMA requirements.

With all of that being said, the exciting Season 06: The Haunting arrives next week on September 27, and fans can swing over to the official Call of Duty website for more information to prepare themselves for survival.
