The RØDE audio company is known for their quality devices that deliver quality sound, and today they’ve announced their latest RØDE Wireless Pro microphone, what RØDE calls “the ultimate wireless microphone.”

For content creators, sound quality is a very important thing to consider when picking up a microphone, and today RØDE has announced the new RØDE Wireless PRO in an attempt to answer the question “Which wireless microphone is best?” before it’s even asked. Fresh off the back of their latest RØDE Wireless ME microphone, this new device is aimed more at the professional creator, with a focus on delivering the most powerful wireless microphone they’ve released to date.

The key feature of the Wireless PRO is its onboard 32-bit float recording, which enables distortion-free audio capture even at high volumes. This is a huge step forward for content creators, who no longer have to worry about manually adjusting gain levels or clipping audio. The onboard recording can clearly capture audio at any volume without distortion. RØDE is bringing this advanced recording technology, previously found only in high-end audio recorders, to a wireless system aimed at a wide range of content creators.

In addition to the 32-bit float recording, the Wireless PRO system provides an extended wireless range up to 850 feet, advanced timecode capability via the RØDE Central app, and a charging case that allows up to 20 hours of battery life. It also includes a receiver that doubles as a wired “narrator” microphone and locking 3.5mm jacks to prevent cables from being accidentally pulled out.

RØDE’s original Wireless GO system, launched in 2019, gained quick popularity among YouTubers and content creators for its portable design. With the new Wireless PRO, RØDE builds on that success by adding advanced features to make audio capture even easier and higher quality for today’s creators. The 32-bit float recording especially has the potential to become an expected feature as the technology filters down to more consumer-level gear.
