For 32 years, The Gotham Awards have acknowledged and awarded independent film and television shows.
Hosted in New York City, The Gotham Awards bring incredible independent films to the table, both honouring them and allowing them to expand their audience for their films. With several different categories across all kinds of independent films, it’s hard to believe only a select few per category will win.
On October 25 we received this year’s Gotham Award nominees, and they did not disappoint. The award took place in New York, and they’ve given us the winners in all of their categories. Though all the nominees are fantastic in their own way, only the best will come out victorious. Today, we find out who those lucky winners are.

Jonathan Majors announced the creation of The Gotham Sidney Poitier Initiative in which they plan to expand the legacy of Sidney Poitier and continue to encourage incredible filmmakers like him.
The stage is set (no pun intended) for the next big independent film to come along and be nominated for The Gotham Awards, but until then, let these independent films flourish once more.
