Love ’em or hate ’em, there’s no arguing that this is a savvy Family.

At first glance, the Kardashians appear to be nothing more than media hogging, money grubbing family.

But if you look closer, and pay attention to their whole story, you’ll see that there are more than a few lessons we can all learn from them and their experiences.

For example;

1. Negative actions don’t always have negative consequences

I know. Not an “after school special” type of lesson, but there it is.

Many of us don’t remember a time when the Kardashian clan didn’t exist on an ‘influencer’ level, even though the family Patriarch, Robert Kardashian was a part of the famous OJ Simpson defense team.

If you don’t know what I’m referring to, read this.

Dad’s legal prowess aside, if it weren’t for Kim’s ‘romp’ with someone who’s name I won’t mention, which provided the notorious Sex Tape that floated around the web for some time, I doubt that we’d be so familiar with the whole family now.

Can you remember the last time a woman released a sex Tape that catapulted her career the way Kim’s did?

Kudos to her (no shade intended whatsoever), but rarely does it ever happen that the woman in the tape goes on to fame and much bigger things, and the man crawls of into obscurity. She’s usually the one who has to disappears, never to be heard from again.

No one knew of Kim or the rest of the family before that tape surfaced.

I’m thinking that the entire family should be thankful for Kim’s little ‘indiscretion’ that day.

2. Almost any crappy circumstance can be turned around

Barring death, loss of limb or severe illness, few things must be worse than having your sexual escapades broadcast for the entire planet to see. But it doesn’t seem to have left a scar on Kim.

Girlfriend got up, dusted off, straightened her crown and carried on. She should teach a class.

3. Putting family first pays off

I’ve often heard people who come into large amounts of money complain about how all their family members want is a handout.

But the Kardashians don’t have this problem.

This family managed to parlay Kim’s fame into a family reality show (among other things), giving everyone including the babies their own paydays.

Genius.

So everyone has their own money, and nobody needs to be going to anybody else for a handout. This is the true definition of “if I win, you win too”.

Family first.

4. Mother really does know best, right?

Word on the grapevine is that Kris Jenner is a mastermind when it comes to making deals and money for herself and the family.

It’s also been said many times, that Kris was also responsible for deliberately leaking Kim’s sex tape, which would be what got this whole “family fame” ball rolling in the first place.

Can’t say that I’d be willing to go to those extremes to make my daughter famous, but hey…to each their own. She should be teaching a class alongside her daughter.

5. It Takes Money to Make Money

Since becoming the mega family they currently are, the Kardashian-Jenner clan have started all kinds of businesses that would cause some hesitation if you don’t have tons of cash behind you.

From their own clothing boutique, to skin care, jeans and shapewear, there’s almost nothing that this family hasn’t touched business-wise.

6. Lessons in How to Build a Brand

In building all of those businesses (some of which don’t exist anymore), one has to also build a brand. It goes without saying that their last name alone gives them a massive push when it comes to branding, but hey, if you’re not a Kardashian, you just have to come up with an ‘out of the box’ way to build your own brand.

7. Keep Pushing Through, and You’ll be Just Fine

Through all the scandals and mishaps, this family just keeps on pushing through. You have to admit that transitioning is hard enough to do in private. But transitioning in a fishbowl has to be a serious drain on your emotional and physical resources.

But this family proves that nothing is a big deal for long, and if you don’t feed into the madness, it will eventually just go away.

8. You’re Much More than Your Mistakes

Was making a sex tape a mistake? Maybe. Like I said at the beginning of this piece, I can’t remember the last time a woman showed up in a sex tape that actually started her career. Not like this.

Which proves to some extent that you are much more than your mistakes. If you don’t dwell on them, others will be forced to let them go too.

9. How to use your mistakes for growth, in every way possible

Whether you’re Kim Kardashian, or “Jill Smith”, mistakes are lessons. If we learn to use our mistakes for growth, growth is what we get, in some unimaginable ways.
