My Favorite Quilty Patterns For The Holidays

Welcome back to the blog, fabric lovers!

As you know, I love talking about the latest collections, their inspiration, and all the lovely projects made with them! Over the years, I’ve been really lucky to witness some amazing projects done with our Fabrics, and I still remember the first lookbook ever, come together! Since then, I’ve seen over 70 lookbooks (wow has time flew by)! So, as I became more familiar with how to sew and dive deeper into the quilting world, I now have so much more appreciation for handmade things.

There is always something happening here at AGF, and one thing leads to another and the next thing you know it’s the holidays! It’s already the end of 2020 (thankfully) and at least we have something to look forward to whether it’s sewing or being with your loved ones. Because I’ve seen so many projects, I really wanted to take a moment to sit down and take a look at the array of patterns we have that I can make for the gift-giving season. But if you’re living the “Vida Loca” like me, sometimes making an entire quilt just might take too long! So now that I finally had the chance to choose which patterns I wanted to make, I thought this would be a great opportunity to share with all of you who are looking for a quilty project that’s not as big as a quilt but captures everything you love about patchwork in a smaller package.

Medley Bag

This is one of my favorite bags that AGF has ever made! Filled with tons of patchwork and the cutest tassels, I adore the boho look that these fabrics give. Everything I love about quilts, into one little bag that is easy to make and fun to gift.

Quilted jackets are in right now! I am totally loving this trend and if I can wear patchwork, sign me up! This is giving the same vibes as my quilted denim jacket we did a while back that was about challenging ourselves on what we can make with the log cabin quilt block, which I totally recommend looking at. I won’t lie to you all, this one is definitely being gifted to ME (haha!)

Embellished Clutch

Does anyone else love sewing small pieces? I get such a satisfying feeling when I see all those small pieces line up perfectly, but if you are anything like me, I only have the patience to do it on a small project. This is for all of you that just want to pay attention to the small details, and whilst creating a lovely go-to clutch that’s also great to put some stocking stuffers in!

Melody Pillow

I have a teen brother that is really picky with gifts. He is just one of those people that don’t need much in life but will always appreciate a handwritten note or a handmade gift. I thought hard about this one but I know he loves music, and this pillow would be a nice addition to his room! I’m thinking of using “Snow Day” fabrics by Mister Domestic for this pillow, just so it fits with the holiday theme.

Circuit Table Runner

Table runners are my favorite projects to quilt under my sewing machine! Small enough to fit comfortably and more area to play around with the motifs. My mom recently moved into her new home, and she is obsessed with decorating for the holidays! She already has a couple of AGF table runners that she loves to put out during the year, and I can’t wait to add this one under her tree!

This one is a bonus for anyone with little ones in their lives! I mean look how cute this project is, it’s quilty and it will be in your family’s memory forever. This unique project is easy to make, and you can easily personalize it to whoever you’re gifting it for.

I really hope these projects spoke to you as they did to me! Sometimes we may not have the time to quilt, but I’m happy to be surrounded by fabric that is just calling my name to make other quilty projects. Besides, there is nothing better than handmade gifts! Don’t forget to share your holiday makes on Instagram by using the hashtag #artgalleryfabrics and until next time…

Happy Sewing!
