Every day knows superheroes. Superheroes are such a common theme on planet Earth that some people have had to make a drama out of it. But what is this obsession with heroes? I guess there are too many bad things in this world and things going wrong for people to hope that amongst the common people there would be someone who would be able to rise up to protect the weak from the wicked and bullies. Not to mention that these heroes would have superpowers to guide them in their efforts. The most super heroes include the ones like Superman, Batman, X-men and the more recent Watchmen (seems like man or men is another common theme) and then you have the likes of the Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and and so on. People’s imaginations are so vivid and creative that the world sees more and more heroes every day. So who is your favorite hero?

When we watch cartoons, not only do some of those cartoons replicate those superheroes that you find on TV (I believe superheroes were first created in comics and then some moved on to big screen), but there are superheroes appearing on the animation scene for the first time. Take for example Ben 10, Captain Planet, Freakazoid, Centurians and also Earthworm Jim (if you count those guys as superheroes). There is also a superhero that I would like to talk about in this article. The name of this superhero is Max Steel.

Max Steel is a pretty low-key superhero, because if you ask me, it seems like not many people know about him. This anime series started around 2000 and ended in 2002. There were total 3 series of this animation. Yet, it seems that few people have seen it. I also saw that there were movies about Max Steel, but what is strange is that the movies were mainly released in Latin America and only one was released in the United States. And I say released because the movie was not shown in theaters but packaged as a DVD to hand out when people buy Max’s action figures. Now, the problem is that if few people watched the cartoons, that would mean few people would buy the Max Steel figures and therefore few people would watch the movie!
