WALL-E Movie Review From a Christian Perspective
A review of Wall-E from a Christian perspective.
WALL-E was a very cute movie that is safe for the whole family. The story is based on the main character, WALL-E.
WALL-E is alone on earth to collect and compact waste. His only companions are a cockroach and the objects he takes out of the trash to add to his large collection.
WALL-E is thrown a curveball when a cute, feisty little robot named Eve walks into his boring, predictable life. Eve’s arrival is when the slow-starting film really picks up.
It’s amazing how these robots communicate and very little discussion happens in the movie. However, there are some who speak with the human characters. The human factor is the meat of the story. I’ll leave it at that as I don’t like giving the stories away in my reviews!
WALL-E has everything a good movie needs…drama, good versus evil, lessons learned, bravery and of course a good old fashioned robotic love story!
The only downside to this movie, in my opinion, is the slow start and the lack of lyrics. It was very difficult for my four year old to sit up. She wasn’t as captivated by WALL-E as she was by Kung Fu Panda.
Overall, WALL-E is a great movie with lovable characters that you’ll love. I give it 3 out of 4 stars! The only reason it doesn’t get 4 stars is because I found it to have boring, endless scenes.
