Director of God of War, Cory Barlog comes to Brazil to participate in the 11th edition of Brasil Game Show

Brasil Game Show, the largest gaming event in Latin America, has just revealed the participation of Cory Barlog in the 11th BGS, which will be held between October 10 and 14 at the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo. Acclaimed for his work on God of War, one of the most beloved and successful series in the gaming industry, Barlog joins the great list of celebrities that will be in this edition of the event.

“Receiving Cory Barlog a few months after the launch of the new God of War, one of the most successful titles in recent years, is a privilege for BGS and for all the Brazilian players,” said Marcelo Tavares, founder and CEO of Brasil Game Show. “Certainly, Cory is one of the most brilliant game directors in history, and being with him is an honor. In addition, Cory's name was at the top of the most requested in our satisfaction survey in 2017”, Tavares adds.

The director of God of War will be in the event between October 11th to 14th and will interact with visitors on several moments: at the BGS Talks, revealing details of his professional career, at the Meet & Greet Intel, where he will interact with fans taking photos and signing autographs, and in the God of War Fan Experience, a special activity at the PlayStation booth.

In addition, Barlog will be one of the special guests of this edition: he will receive from BGS the Lifetime Achievement Award and will have his hands engraved on the Wall of Fame, two honors granted only to personalities who have contributed significantly to the development of the industry.

Cory Barlog began his career in 2005 at Santa Monica Studio, part of Sony Interactive Entertainment, as the lead animator of the God of War development team. Soon after, he would write and direct God of War II, for what he was awarded. Due to the success of his work, he was invited to contribute with the script and animation of other titles of the franchise: God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. His latest work was God of War, game released for the PlayStation 4 in April of this year.

God of War is an action/adventure series released in 2005 and that gained notoriety for the rich plot inspired in the Greek mythology, including battles of gods. With millions of fans around the world, the God of War games are among the best for PlayStation, according to the players. In April of this year, the new God of War brought a different direction to the narrative, with protagonists Kratos and his son Atreus fighting their way through the Norse Mythology. The game broke records and sold more than 3.1 million copies in the first three days.
