West Indies vs Bangladesh 2nd T20 Cricket Match 04 August 2018

BANGLADESH TOUR OF WEST INDIES, 2018
Bangladesh seeks to avoid mistakes in Florida and West Indies Eye for Series

Windies leads the three-game series 1-0

The two-time world champion, the Windies, recovered from their one-day Series defeat by giving the visitors a beating in the first T20I in a rain-fogged game to take a 1-0 lead in the series of three parties. The tour has moved to Lauderhill, Florida and Bangladesh will also seek a change of luck.

Bangladesh had a reckless start in the first game by losing two wickets in the first game and then never recovered from that. At the end of the game, Shakib Al Hasan lamented the fact that they do not have their own version of Andre Russell.

Windies, on the other hand, despite not having Chris Gayle and Sunil Narine managed to face the challenges launched in the first game. Regular strokes by Kesrick Williams, early knocks by Ashley Nurse and bowls of Keemo Paul's death offset the bowling effort for the hosts. A repeat of it will have a sweeter taste.

The batting also saw a promotion and vindication of Russell after the game was reduced to a nine-point attack. 'Dre Russ' pushed it, leaving Bangladesh far behind.

What can Bangladesh do differently? Tamim Iqbal had a wave of blood and danced on the track of the first ball to be perplexed. He can afford to take some balls, even in this format where adrenaline is something that takes it easy and keeps going. The ODI template of taking balls and then going crazy can be modified and worked by Tamim to provide Bangladesh the impetus they need in the middle and death.

The trio of Shakib, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah will also have to make sure that one of them sees the tickets, otherwise, Bangladesh will be limping towards a disappointing total as they did the last time.

The Windies, when they counterattacked, gave many races to the association of Rahim and Mahmudullah. Bangladesh had the opportunity to escape but, fortunately for them, it did not. The hosts also hope not to repeat the high order fault they had in the first game of the series with the first two opening against Mustfizur Rahman in their first final.

When: August 4 at 12:00 a.m. GMT | 5:30 am. IST

Where: Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida

Climate: it is expected to be partly cloudy, but it is very likely that a rain cut will be discarded. Flat wickets and small limits are practically the norm for this format, and Florida is no exception. Wait a riot!

Team news

Windies: Samuel Badree was the most expensive bowler in the first game and lacked control over a change, but he would probably retain his place. However, if he gets the ax, the always impressive Sheldon Cottrell could enter to increase the pace of the bowling attack.

Bangladesh: Soumya Sarkar after the collapse of the Asian Cup has had a difficult time. He stayed out of the ODI team and tested and only flew for the T20I. And that also ended quickly when it was enrobled for a golden duck. You can expect a quick reversal of fortune, otherwise Sabbir Rahman could enter.

What they say

Shakib al Hasan: At one stage we were 100 in 11 overs, but at that stage we also lost five wickets. Unless you have someone like Andre Russell or someone like him who can change the game on his own, it's hard to make a comeback from that position.

Squad

Windies Team: Chadwick Walton (w), Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, Marlon Samuels, Rovman Powell, Denesh Ramdin, Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite (c), Kesrick Williams, Ashley Nurse, Sheldon Cottrell, Samuel Badree, Keemo Paul

Bangladesh Team: Liton Das, Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim(w), Shakib Al Hasan(c), Mahmudullah, Ariful Haque, Mehidy Hasan, Abu Hider Rony, Nazmul Islam, Abu Jayed, Rubel Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Mustafizur Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain
