Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy is inculcated in each and every one of us. No matter who you are, there will always be some moral level on which you are very much a complete Hypocrite and it's true for anyone- parents, children, teachers, businessmen, salman khan, and many others (I don't mean to offend bhai fans, I am sorry you are all just great I bet, I'm just saying the car didn't drive itself)

There are people who profess themselves as devotees of gods and the high powers but cheat masses by lying and stealing, people who are vegetarians but love leather sofas, people who profess peace but violently harm their own body, people who get angry or sad at the same things they do to others when done to themselves, people who order diet coke with two extra large pizzas

Doesn't this raise the question of how much of what we do to others would we be able to tolerate when done to us? Are there any of us actually keeping a perfect track of our own karma in every single detail of our life? How much of our karma do we actually feel guilty about? Frustrating right? I mean at least that's what i feel. Hypocrisy frustrates me, even though I'm a hypocrite myself (which causes more frustration and thus I'm even more of a hypocrite. See?)

People often see their own happiness as a good enough reason to ignore the damage they do to others or to society. They live in a bubble of happiness protected by ignorance of their own wrong doings till they realize they're being hypocrites in some situation in life after which it's a matter of them wanting to let that bubble pop or continue to live in it further

All of us could sit back and reflect at our own actions, look into ourselves and reach within to find a true unique combination of our personality and our actions to prevent us from ever being hypocrites OR we could just shrug our shoulders and not give a single thought to any of it, smile and be happy. How many of us really care about the effect we have on others? Look at what all we've done to our own planet

No one likes being called a hypocrite...but who isn't one?
