ēThe playground of Methodist Grammar School, Igboora was filled with crowd yesterday 16th December, 2022 as lovers of football across the constituency gathered to watch the much anticipated final match between Oke Ako high School, igangan and Igboora Grammar School, Igboora.

The third place match had earlier been played between School of Science, idere and Maku Grammar School Tapa. School of science idere won the match by two goals to defeat their opponent who scored a lone goal. However,

The final match was played later in the afternoon and saw the emergence of Oke-Ako high School Igangan as the winner. Igboors grammar school was the first side to see the back of the net at about thirty minutes of play, courtesy of goal from number 15 jersey of the school- Agboola promise. The score line remains un-equalized until the second half when Oke-Ako high school igangan came from behind to score two goals in about fifteen minutes interval.

Apart from the finals of the football competition, prizes were also given to winners of debate and quiz competitions earlier concluded by the organizing committees.Favour Land College, Igboora -1st position , Royal Stars College, Igboora-2nd position and  Adegoke College, Igboora- 3rd position.  Oke-Ako high school igangan as well as other teams in the third place were given medals and prizes respectively.

Passing a brief remark after the games, Hon Ajibola Muraina thanked the organizers and games directors of the participated schools for their cooperation during the contest. He want them to remain steadfast and believe that all these efforts are targeted at glorious exhibitions of the children’s potentials. He also emphasized that this annual competitions are not part of his constituency projects, but borne out of his personal initiative to promote young talents in his constituency. He also assured his constituent that the event among others will continue annually even when he is no longer occupying political office.

Hon. Ajibola used the opportunity to give updates about his ongoing community projects such as: school buildings renovation, multi tap motorized boreholes, empowerment programs, facilitation of employment opportunities, supply of educational materials, security issues support and intervention, medical supports to hospitals and so on. He also used the opportunity to seek the support and votes from his constituents as he is vying to represent the federal constituency again in 2023.
