Oyo south senatorial candidate (hopeful) Dr Ayandele Olusola and his political son Ademola Ojo has logically launched yet another attack against Hon Muraina Ajibola, on the early hours of today. In a dramatic plot, the political gladiators had invited the ward chairmen and secretaries of the APC across the three local government areas in ibarapa to a meeting at Heritage hotel igboora.

Prior to the schedule of the meeting, Eruobodo has directed Demola Ojo and Gbeminiyi olaniyan to get a purpoted letter against Muraina to be signed by the ward chairmen and secretaries across ibarapa central and north federal constituency respectively. The signatories to the letter were induced with mobilization token of #20,000 (twenty thousand naira) each. The money was given to the executives immediately after the meeting.

In the early hours of today, one of the leading online newspapers in Ibarapa (peoples conscience) had reported that all the ward chairmen in ibarapa north had written a letter to show their rejection of Hon Muraina Ajibola into the APC. They also warned that the party’s hierarchy at the state level should not attempt to give Muraina an automatic ticket. Otherwise, they will do everything possible to ensure that the APC loss the much anticipated 2023 general elections. They also vowed to cause further crisis in the party if their grievances isn’t looked into.

Prime times newspapers gathered further that another pro APC group called the Ibarapa North Youth Liberation Movement (IBYLM) has warned the ward chairmen and secretaries who signed the letter to be careful with their utterances in a time like this. They felt disappointed by the recent attitudes of Eruobodo and Demola ojo towards the return of Muraina Ajibola into the progressive fold. According to the spokesman of the group Ayanleke Abiodun, ” it is so unfortunate that there has been continuous plots against Hon Muraina recently. And we understand that eruobodo and his guys are behind the whole thing. We are not surprised by their activities. That is how they’ve been doing since they joined us around 2017/2018. We want them to know that if we had chosen to give them a ride for their acts, they would have left the party since we lost the state to the PDP in 2019. But, we allow them to remain in the APC even though they’re not progressive minded politicians. We just managing them.” Why are they afraid of Muraina being in the APC? What exactly do they want? Aren’t we in need of more people to win the constituency and Oyo state back for the APC?

Ayanleke continued, ” Eruobodo is desperate to clinch the senatorial ticket by all means and we know he’s keeping the same manners with Demola Ojo. Let them be aware that we have been informed that they want to destabilize the APC, then moved to another party. If that’s what they are hell bent on, we will deal with them accordingly very soon. Perhaps, we won’t allow them to destroy our party for greedy and selfish reasons. We want our leaders to be careful dealing with those who want to turn our efforts into failure. Alhaji Abas, Baba Lasunsi, Baba Ayanleke, Baba Jinadu and the rest of them should be at alert. We will act if they don’t call eruobodo and Demola ojo to order.” He challenged the duo of Ademola Ojo and eruobodo to go ahead and test their political popularity elsewhere if they can’t abide by the ethics of a true progressive.

Anyway, we will not relent on our efforts towards strengthening the APC structure both here and the entire Oyo state. If anybody is not comfortable with our internal democratic policies, they’re free to leave honorably.

As at the time of filing this report, the IBYLM is planning to hold a meeting in preparation for the party’s activities scheduled for the coming weeks.
