Google CEO Sundar Pichai: Explains the Googling Idiot!!

Recently, CEO of Google has investigated by the American Congress committee. Indian-American citizen Sundar Pichai CEO of Google, investigated by the Panel members of Congress committee for the technological development and some of the issues by Google has been enquired to Pichai.

Google Ceo Sundar Pichai was asked to explain why a Google image search for “idiot” turned up pictures of Donald Trump — and whether that was a case of intentional bias.

The question came from Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), who was trying to refute the idea that Google is politically manipulating search results. She fired the question to Pichai – “Right now if you google the word ‘idiot’ under images, a picture of Donald Trump comes up. I just did that,” she said. “How would that happen?” is there any planning for that one by google? Why they are coming up like that!!

Pichai explained in a long-term, general explanation of how Google search works:

Any time you type in a keyword in the google search engine, as Google we have gone out and crawled and stored copies of billions of [websites’] pages in our index. And we take the keyword which is entered into the engine and match it against their pages and rank them based on over 200 signals — these will rank upon things like relevance, freshness, popularity, how other people are using it. And based on that, at any given time, we try to rank and find the best search results for that query based on their keyword what they have entered into the search engine. And then we evaluate them with external raters, and they evaluate it to objective guidelines and measures. And that’s how we make sure the process is working on Google.

“So it’s not a silly thing which a man do these things some little man sitting behind the curtain figuring out what we’re going to show the user?” Lofgren asked sarcastically. This is working at scale, and we don’t manually interrupt on any particular search result,” replied Sundar Pichai.

News shops reported on the Trump “idiot” results earlier this year. If you search the term now in Google, in fact, you’ll mostly get pictures from stories explaining why it happened. Well, this will be the third party plays a role in it, It may appear to be the result of outside parties gaming Google’s search results, a well-known tactic known as “Google bombing.” So, definitely this not a google’s game to figure out the President as Idiot.

Already, many persons are also faced this Google Bombed but it’s doesn’t affect any terms in Politics and Trump isn’t the first president to get Google-bombed: in the mid-2000s, searches for “miserable failure” it shows up the famously results about President George W. Bush also happened. It can be a political (or just funny) extension of normal search engine optimization tactics.

The one of the panel member Parimala Jayapal thanked him to attending the committee and answering the questions and she said Pichai and me came in the same h1-b visa and we both are continued in Immigration process also.

Parimala Jayapal also said that she’s proud that an Indian man in a big company in a big position which represents the pride of India. I am also proud to be an Indian and he’s our guy from our country who makes big responsibilities for the technological world and also for the company.
