Organizers of the annual Pop Culture Africa Awards 2019, which is a celebration of the Events industry and its personalities says that this year’s ceremony will include awarding Events that has driven social change in Nigeria.
In a statement released by the spokesperson, Pop Media Group, Mr Chinedu Nmegwah, the reason behind the addition of the category is based on the active use of entertainment in amassing awareness that propels social change in the country.
He said,

“Over the years, various platforms have driven social change in sectors of the economy, politics as well as human rights and to this regard, we hope to celebrate those behind this drive”

Its maiden awards which was done in 2018 handed out 21 awards to various events practitioners and personalities. Some of the awards given to recipients included Events of the year, Events planner of the year as well as Event ticketing brand of the year, etc.
This year’s event is set to take place in Enugu which is regarded as the sub-hub of entertainment in the South East and includes a Digital Marketing seminar and Media Networking Forum.
