Snakes might not admit they have a problem crawling everywhere they go, but Youtuber Allen Pan has somehow seen through this charade and has decided to give snakes legs. Apparently, snakes have legs during the embryo stage, but lose them later in development. This is what Pan has termed as ‘God’s mistake’, and has gone forth to rectify it. The robotic Snake legs have gained over four millions views on YouTube, and netizens have taken this innovation with a grain of salt. 

For context, Allen has been accused of being a snake abuser after he captured a snake and let it out into the wild. The robotic legs by the engineer are to prove that, and we quote, ‘Allen Pan is a snake lover ‘. Because who else has tried to give snakes their legs back? For half the duration of the video, Pan is seen trying to figure out how he can make a snake walk, his prototypes and such. For the next half – and hold your breath – Allen Pan has accomplished the task of giving a snake the prosthetic!

The snake looks doubtful at first. People have said that the legs have long been lost – thanks to evolution – ten the snake must take some time to get accustomed to limbs again? This is proved right when, after finally getting comfy enough and taking the legs for a stroll, the snake encounters a bump in its way. Well, there’s no denying that prosthetics need some getting used to, huh?

The tongue-in-cheek video by Pan is not only humourous, but viewers have also found it incredibly adorable. To have taken it upon himself to ‘fix’ how nature got wrong, Pan has used his education and knowledge, and has created these alligator-type, cyborg-style legs.

But what has won us over is looking at the snake chilling while ‘walking’, as if by some trick of generational memory, it always knew this was meant to be!
