This one needs no introduction. But we’ll give you one anyway. The dystopian Science Fiction anthology Series, created by Charlie Brooker, is widely regarded as one of the best science fiction in recent times. Dark takes a quick shift from crime genre into a freaky, truly scary, brain-expanding exploration of time and space. The story, at its core, is of the frantic hunt of four families for a missing child. The hunt unearths the secrets and hidden connections that spans among three generations of the four estranged families. Dark is a mysterious and tense show that explores the existential implications of time and its effects on human nature. Pay attention to detail when you’re watching this one.
Sense 8
The sci-fi drama series is from the creators of The Matrix and Babylon 5, Wachowskis and J. Michael Straczynski. The show follows the story of eight people from all over the world, who share a mental bond and can telepathically experience each other’s life often without even realising it. The eight people are “birthed” by a woman called Angelica, who kills herself to avoid being captured by a man called “Whispers”. The show will give you a true sense of empathy as the characters experience the perils of each other’s individual lives. Quite popular, this one.
