Glass beaches, the name is enchanting enough! Glass beaches are an interesting site to look at. The largest one is found near Fort Bragg, Northern California is indeed a mesmerizing phenomenon to witness. Although do you know how it was formed? 

Glass beaches are formed through years and years of garbage accumulation near the coast line area; it takes 20 to 40 years to form a glass beach which means a constant garbage deposition for all those years. The first site was formed in the year 1906 and multiple sites have been formed ever since. 

It is indeed an amazing view and so pretty to look at but we should actively try to reduce the amount of garbage we are polluting the water bodies with. By the way, these sites have millions of glass pieces and it is illegal to take any home.
