Hydration Is The Key To A Healthy Lifestyle

Staying hydrated is a crucial aspect of health and well-being, but many people do not take sufficient quantities of Fluids each day. Around 60 per cent of the adult human Body is made up of water, and around 71 per cent of the Earth’s surface is covered with water. However, drinking enough water each day is not at the top of many people’s lists of priorities.

Water is essential for the kidneys and other functions of the human body. When dehydrated, the skin can become more susceptible to skin disorders and wrinkles. Here is the list of 5 benefits of drinking water-

Water Maintains the Balance of Body Fluids

As we said, human body is composed of about 60 percent water. The functions of these Body Fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and regulation of body temperature. When the fluid content is low, the brain triggers the body’s thirst mechanism. One must pay attention to those hints and take something liquid- water, juice, milk, coffee, anything.

Water Helps Control Calories

Hydration is a weight loss strategy. While water doesn’t obviously have any magical effect on weight loss, substituting it for high calorie beverages certainly helps. Fruits, vegetables, broth-based soups, oatmeal, and beans are rich in water content.

Water Energizes Muscles

Cells that do not regulate their balance of fluids and electrolytes, shrivel gradually leading to muscle fatigue. Drinking enough fluids is important when working out. Fluid intake before and during physical activity is essential. Hydration at regular intervals to replace fluids lost by sweating is essential.

Water Makes Your Skin Glow

Our skin contains a huge amount of water and functions as a protective barrier to prevent excess fluid loss. However, over-hydration does not eliminate wrinkles or fine lines. At the same time, dehydration makes your skin look more dry and wrinkled.

Water Helps Your Kidneys

Body fluids transport waste products in and out of the cells. The main toxin in the body is urea, a water-soluble waste that passes through the kidneys to be excreted through urine. If you  chronically drink too little, you may be more susceptible to kidney stones, especially in warm climates.
