Comics are a great medium to tell jokes or send a message to your audience. They are fun and easy to read. The messages are often told in an easy-to-digest format. Kyle, the creator of Katalyst comics, also known for the character “Blue Boi”, started writing and illustrating his stories in April 2020. And as we can all remember, 2020 was known as lockdown year, during which our boredom levels reached their peak. That was the needed push for Kyle to dive into a new era of his life.

At the time, Kyle remembers himself being in a dark place in his life, and comics were a way to pass the time and relieve ongoing stress. Fast forward to this day, we can read part 2 of his silly comics.

Making comics does not require a lot of skills, but there is always space for improvement. Kyle feels that even though he didn’t finish art school, that doesn’t stop him from having fun and enjoying this art form. After all, if you can think it, you can do it.

And finally, finding your audience is also an essential part of comic-making. To find your people, Kyle advises you to branch out and try all sorts of different communities and platforms. You might be surprised by the places where you finally find your public. But in the end, all that matters is to be heard by the right people.
