About Navya Nair Career
Dhanya Veena, better known by her artistic name Navya Nair, is an Indian film actress who has starred in the films Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada. She is the recipient of 2 Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and Kalaimamani Award.
Navya Nair was born on 14 October 1985 to Raju & Veena Raju, a native of Cheppad, a village near Harippad in the district of Alleppey. Director K. Madhu is his uncle. She studied at Bethany Balikamadom High School, Nangiarkulangara until Grade 10, and then at MSM Higher Secondary School, where her mother was a teacher. She married the businessman based in Mumbai, Santhosh Menon, on January 21, 2010 and have a son Sai Krishna, born on November 22, 2010.
She was still in school when she offered her first film role, with Dileep's opposition to Ishtam in 2001. He followed roles in partnership with Dileep, in films such as Mazhathullikkilukkam, Kunjikoonan, Kalyanaraman, Pandippada , Gramaphone and Pattanathil Sundaran.
Navya's most popular character is 'Balamani' in Nandanam. She won the Kerala State Film Award for best actress in 2002 for the same. She was associated with Mohanlal, Mammooty, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dileep, Prithviraj and Jayasurya.
She began acting in uncommon films, such as Saira and Kanne Madanguka when her chances of commercial films decreased. Saira was the opening film of the All World Cinemas section at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2007, which was the 4th Malayalam film filmed at the Cannes International Film Festival. Saira has participated in 21 other international festivals such as the United States, Brazil, Israel, Russia, Italy, Greece, Zimbabwe, Belgium, Bangladesh, etc. She won the state award again in 2005 for her performance at Kanne Madanguka and Saira.
His debut in Tamil cinema came with Azhagiya Theeye and his first role in Kannada's cinema was in Gaja, but the most notable film was the 2009 Tamil film Aadum Koothu, which won the National Award for Best Tamil Film. The film T.V.Chandran turned around a character called Manimekala played by Navya Nair. She has about 50 films to her credit.
After the wedding, she stopped working as a full-time actor. She returned to the cinema through "Scene Onnu Nammude Veedu" in 2012. After a gap of nearly two years from that day, she made "Drishya", a remake of Kannada's thriller Megahit Malayalam "Drishyam."
