Milind Soman is an Indian model, actor, film producer and fitness promoter.Soman was born in Glasgow, Scotland. His family moved to England where he lived until he was seven, and his family returned to India and moved to Mumbai in 1973. He attended Antonio Da Silva College and the College of Commerce. Jr. in Mumbai. Later, he completed his Electrical Engineering degree from Mr. H. Saboo Siddik Polytechnic, Byculla.

Milind Soman is currently married to Ankita Konwar. Soman had a relationship with Madhu Sapre with whom he broke up later. He met Mylene Jampanoi, a French actress, on the sets of their 2006 film, Valley of Flowers. The couple was married in July 2006 in a seaside resort of Goa. Milind and Mylène decided to separate in 2008. The couple divorced in 2009. [

Career

Although Soman had an engineering degree, he did not see himself earning money. He turned to modeling in 1988. Soman appeared in Alisha Chinai's video, Made in India (1995). In the mid-1990s, after working as a model, he took the lead role in the Indian science fiction television series Captain Vyom. He then focused on films from 2000. The Soman films include the 16th of December, Pachaikili Muthucharam, Paiyaa, Agni Varsha and Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula. In 2007, he appeared in Bhram, Say Salaam India and Bheja Fry.

In 2009, he starred in Gandhi's Marathi Film by Sachin Kundalkar. He has also appeared in a number of films and television series in English and other foreign languages, including Valley of Flowers and The Flag. In the Swedish film Arn - The Knight Templar, he represented Saladin, the revered Kurdish ruler of the Arabs and Muslims in the 12th century. He was also seen in a character role in the 2016 Hindi film Bajirao Mastani.

Soman was the producer of the movie Hindi Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula (2003). He has also produced a children's television series called Ghost Bana Dost.

In 2010, he participated as a participant in the reality TV show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. He came fourth.

Soman played in Jodi Breakers in 2012, which did not work well at the box office.On May 20, 2012, he became the holder of Limca Records for traveling 1,500 km in 30 days for Greenathon, NDTV, to raise public awareness of the environment. That same year, the largest women's race event in the country, Pinkathon, was created under her leadership, to promote good health and breast cancer awareness among women.

Milind is an avid and a very strong sportsman. He has been a swimmer of international level. He began to represent Maharashtra at the age of 10 in different age groups before representing his state at senior level where he held the title of national swimming champion for four consecutive years (1984- 87) before abandoning competitive swimming in 1988. Soman represented India in swimming at the inaugural South Asian Gamesin 1984 in Kathmandu where he won a silver medal.
