Ronit received a call from Balaji Telefilms to give him a role in the television series Kammal. Due to the lack of any attractive film offer, he accepted the offer. Before Kammal started, Balaji Telefilms also gave Ronit an 8-week-old cameo to Kasautii Zindagii Kay as Rishabh Bajaj, a merciless but still suave ruthless business mogul.
Ronit's impressive performance as Mr.Bajaj made him popular and landed him in the Balaji Telefilms Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi under the name Mihir Virani, replacing Amar Upadhyay. He played the role of Dharamraj in NDTV Imagine's Bandini, which earned him the honors for his astonishing rendition of a brutal and ruthless diamond dealer who is never defeated. He also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, a reality show in 2007, and another show, Yeh Hai Jalwa in 2008 as a participant. He hosted the kitchen champions in 2010, who was on Colors TV. He is currently playing in the SET courtroom drama, Adaalat, as K.D. Pathak, a unique and sharp advocate who only fights for the truth about Sony TV. He returned to the dramatic genre with Balaji Telefilms' Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar as Dr.Nachiket Khanna, aka Neil K.
After his success on television, Ronit starred in several Bollywood films in supporting roles. In 2010, he starred in the critically acclaimed film Udaan. his work has been much appreciated and has earned him many awards for best supporting actor. Udaan brought Ronit back to the stage of the movie. He then starred in Karan Johar's Student Girl of the Year Anurag Kashyap's In Girl In Yellow Boots, Deepa Mehta's Midnight's Children, Sanjay Gupta's Wadala Shootout and Anurag Kashyap's Ugly. More recently, he appeared in the Akshay Kumar starrer BOSS and Arjun Kapoor starrer 2 states in which his performance has received much appreciation.
He also shared a screen with Hrithik Roshan acting as an antagonist in the 2017 Kaabil thriller. He is currently working with Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain of ALTBalaji with Mona Singh and Gurdeep Kohli.
Ronit owns Ace Security and Protection. He is currently speaking to Bollywood actors such as Salman Khan, Amitabh Bacchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan; also to the former president of the League of Indians and former Commissioner Lalit Modi and his son Ruchir Modi. Some of the film projects in which Ace Security and Protection has also lent their services are Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Yaadein, Na Tum, Jano Na Hum, Saathiya and Armaan. |
