Sony Music India has released a new music video for a Harrdy Sandhu song called Kya Baat Ay, which has managed to grab more than 3 million views on YouTube in just one day. This track has been composed by B Praak and written by Jaani, a pairing that is currently doling out hit after hit in the Punjabi music scene.

This track’s music video has been directed by Arvindr Khaira, and it features Brazilian Model Carolina Moura. It has been shot in Instanbul, and showcases the Mediterranean city’s feisty locales in all their glory. Harrdy Sandhu’s videos are known for his dance moves, and sure enough, there are plenty to see in Kya Baat Ay.

B Praak has given the music a rhythmic groove, and has kept the tempo at a medium. It includes Spanish-style guitar strums and your usual hip-hop beats. Harrdy Sandhuv gives a pretty showy vocal performance. His voice doesn’t sound held back at all, and that adds a lot of flair to the song.

The lyrics however leave a lot to be desired. Jaani has weaved into the song very generic phrases like “hypnotize kare jatt nu” and “Ni tera kajal, karda ae pagal.” This makes the song sound like we’ve heard it before hundreds of times.

The music video of Kya Baat Ay begins with Carolina Moura instructing the digital voice assistant on her phone to play the same song. The track then compels her to start grooving to it. Harrdy Sandhu enters the fray early to showcase his own dance moves as well. We then move from a hustling town to a night party and a romantic room with pillars.

Harrdy Sandhu has been on quite a roll this year. His video Naah, which was released early last year, boasts of more than 278 million views right now. Another one of his hits is called Backbone, and it enjoys more than 248 million views on YouTube. His 2016 song with T-Series, HORNN BLOW has garnered 153 million views as well. Harrdy Sandhu is no doubt one of the biggest names in the Punjabi music scene right now. His singing talent is complemented by some really well-made music videos as well, with most of them being directed by Arvindr Khaira.
