Shahid and Mira Kapoor have been blessed with a baby boy and baby Zain Kapoor completes the family says proud father; Shahid, in a post on his Twitter account. Shahid finally has someone to support him against the gorgeous looking Kapoor girls in the family. So far the two girls outnumbered him but now Shahid finally has someone to team up with him!

Shahid, as we all know, is a hands-on father. In fact, unlike many of the celebrities who have nannies in uniform fussing over their star kids, Shahid and Misha have been hands-on parents and will not have nannies bringing up their babies. They’re like any normal parents who love to do everything by themselves for their kids without a nanny’s help. It was heartwarming to see lil’ Misha comfortably perched on daddy Shahid’s arms as she waved to the media on her way to the hospital to see her newborn baby brother. And when Mira was discharged out of the hospital too, she was seen holding her newborn son herself while Shahid held Misha in his arms and even made sure his wife and newborn were seated comfortably in the car.

Shahid also loves to help his wife with bringing up Misha and at a recent interview with HotFridayTalks.com, he shared that he is also learning to braid her hair but that’s the one thing he still needs a lot of practice with, as he doesn’t know how to twist the rubber band around! “I do try but Mira gives me a whack on my hand and says please do not try, you are doing such a bad job! Other than making her hair I am very good at doing other things for her,” admits Shahid.

When I asked Shahid how he rates himself as a father, he said, “I think I do better as a father than an actor on most occasions. As an actor, there are many things I still need to learn and there are many other people I look at and feel wow! I don’t know if I can do that but as a dad, I have met very feel people who are so into their child and I feel that I am really into being a dad and hooked onto it. I would always want to be best as a parent because I think that is a much larger responsibility. Acting is a selfish joy of mine but being a parent is a very selfless thing to do.”

I totally second that. That’s why Shahid and Mira Kapoor are our most favourite celebrity parents!
