Remember the 2011 movie Yamla Pagla Deewana starring the Deol family? Maybe you don’t, because it did not shine much on Box office. However, despite its success story, the father-son – brother trio is back and all excited with its sequel, rightly named, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phirse. The recently released track from this movie is named “Rafta Rafta” and the song awaits lots of surprises for all the Bwoodolly fans out there.

The music video is a treat for fans of Bollywood stars, as it has a huge line-up of popular stars who make their special appearance for this particular song. Apart from the special appearance by Salman Khan, whom we see right from the beginning dancing on stage with Dharmendra, we next see Sonakshi Sinha who appears in a gorgeous red dress. Just afterward we see Shatrughan Sinha on stage too, with his typical “Khamosh” along with his daughter. The one star who steals the show, however, is Rekha who enters like a queen all decked up in black along with black shades and as she utters a Shayari with her appeal, she sure sets the stage on fire. The heat then continues as she dances the mujra style, in a gorgeous red lehenga to ‘salam-e-ishq.’ Finally the other two Deols, Sunny and Bobby join into the troup, to make it complete. Remo D’Souza has always got it right as far as the choreography is concerned, and he did a great job this time too.

As per the song is concerned, it is an extremely groovy number which has all the ingredients set right for it to become an ultimate party and dance number. It is a medley of yesteryear songs ‘Rafta rafta dekho aankh meri ladi hai,’ originally from the movie Kahani Kismat Ki (1973), O Mere Sona Re, originally from Teesri Manzil (1966), salam-e-ishq, originally from Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (1978) and the film franchise’s title Yamla Pagla Deewana, originally from the movie Pratigya (1975). Vishal Mishra and Aditya Dev, have, however, done a superb job in joining all the songs together and blending them well into each other. Singers include celebs Rekha and Sonakshi Sinha and playback by Vishal Mishra, Jordi Patel, Disha Sharma and Akash Ojha who have all rendered the old classics really well. Much credit goes to the song editor Nitin FCP for the complete package that this song is.

Rafta Rafta medley is a perfect dance number that can add spark to your weekend party while bringing old classics to life. You will surely have a blast listening to it or even watching the music video.
