Just a month back, Rakesh Unni, a laborer from Kerala, impressed Shankar Mahadevan and Kamal Hassan with his rendition of “Unnai Kanadhu” from the movie ‘Vishwaroopam’. Now, Muhammed Arif from Pakistan has been winning hearts all over social media for his powerful singing abilities.

A house painter by profession, the 11-minute video of Arif was first shared a Facebook page. As the video went viral on social media, a Twitter user identified him by his name. The video shows Arif singing to the famous Bollywood song “Hamari Adhuri Kahaani” while working. On the request of the person recording the video, Arif proceeded to sing the song ‘Naina’ from the movie “Dangal”.

As with any ordinary person, Arif was initially hesitant to have himself recorded, but he soon grew comfortable as he started singing. Twitter has been flooding with short video clips of Arif singing several other songs being shared by the Twitterati, which has won him many accolades from netizens in India and Pakistan. The social networking site has quickly erupted with praises and encouragements for Arif, with requests to give him a chance to sing for the Bollywood and Pakistani Music Industry.

If nothing else, he has received extra admiration due to the fact he continued to apply primer to the walls while singing, which display his work ethic and dedication to his cause. The Twitterati has now resolved itself to make Arif famous until he is noticed by someone for the music industry.
