Putting an end to our wait, the Sanju trailer is out, and it has already created a buzz among people. We are basking in the sunshine of biopics since a few years, and Sanju is one of the most-awaited biopics of 2018. Rajkumar Hirani planned a simultaneous release of the trailer across five cities – Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

Sanjay Dutt’s life has been, as we all know, one roller-coaster ride. Parented by actors like Sunil Dutt and the talented and gorgeous Nargis, the actor himself delivered hits like Naam, Vaastav, and the Munnabhai series. He has also been a drug addict when he could not handle the pressure of life during difficult times. Sanju baba – as he is fondly known, has been accused of illegal possessions of weapons and connection with ’93 Bombay serial bomb blasts. Thus, Ranbir Kapoor, starring as Sanju is seen in the movie saying, “Main bewra hoon, tharki hoon, drug addict hoon, saab hoon… lekin terrorist nahin hoon.”

Ranbir Kapoor proves to be a perfect choice to be cast as Sanju. The actor has depicted the gait and glare of Sanjay Dutt in a meticulous way. Ranbir has donned several looks for the film, but his personal favourite is the one where Sanjay Dutt comes out of the Yerawada Jail, with a tilak on his forehead. Interestingly, that was the opening shot chosen for the teaser of the movie too. Ranbir a.k.a. Sanju is seen narrating the story of his life in a montage style, taking the viewers to different times of his life.

Although, the biopic of Sanjay Dutt is expected to be a serious one, as it is supposed to showcase the actor’s dark past of drugs, connection with underworld, and being slapped with the TADA case, yet Hirani has released the trailer with funny bits and pieces. The teaser has been designed like they are headlines of each phases of Sanju’s life, to know the details you must read the detailed news following it too. The trailer also is a revelation of how Sanjay Dutt had been bold enough to share all the dark phases of his life

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Sanju stars Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Jim Sarbh, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Karishma Tanna, and Sonam Kapoor in pivotal roles, and will release on June 29th, 2018.
