Deepika Padukone has been picking films and roles that have been challenging and exhausting. Some of the shoots for the films she has done have been grueling but that is exactly what excites her! Deepika has earlier revealed that such films that are mentally and physically challenging give her thrill even though they are exhausting.

Her role as Rani Padmavati in her just-released film, Padmavat has won over critics and fans as well. Not everyone can pull off the role of a princess who was said to be not only one of the most beautiful but at the same time brave too. While she has done a fantastic job as Rani Padmaavati, in Padmaavat the Jauhar scene in the film is worth a mention. Deepika too has said that the Jauhar scene has been one of the most difficult scenes in her career.

Deepika has never been scared of challenges, earlier too she has done an equally challenging role as a visually impaired girl in her film Lafangey Parindey, where she plays Pinky Palkar, a blind dancer who dances with roller skates.During her interviews for the same film, Deepika had mentioned how difficult it is to play a blind person when one can actually see! It’s not easy to pretend to be blind when you’re not.

Besides that, Deepika has also done Challenging Roles in films like Bajirao Mastani, Piku and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. In Padmaavat too, she emotes some scenes beautifully with just her eyes and expressions. Deepika has managed to pull off each of these challenging roles with ease and that’s because she puts in a lot of hard work for every role that she essays.
