Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan And Other Bollywood Movies That Have Wooed China

After wooing fans in India, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is heading to China to woo the Chinese audiences. The film has been dubbed in Chinese and will be released across 8,000 screens in China on 2 March, which is the day the Chinese celebrate the Lantern Festival.

The last film to go to China was Aamir Khan’s Dangal which was highly appreciated by the audience there. The demand and love for Indian films in China have seen many big Bollywood films make its way to China after they have been dubbed in Mandarin.

Among some of the other recent Indian films to have released in China earlier are Shahrukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan too made quite an impact in China and made an impressive collection at the box office.

Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and R. Madhavan starrer 3 Idiots was another film that the Chinese audience loved.

Action thriller Dhoom 3 starring Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif etc. was another film that did extremely not only in India but also in Chinese. Another film whose box-office collections was worth boasting about! in China.

PK was the third one of Aamir Khan’s film to have been released in Mandarin in China. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani it was the highest-grossing Indian film in China.

Similarly, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s heist comedy Happy New Year too regaled the Chinese audience.

Baahubali: The Beginning, the war epic franchise was released in about 6,000 screens across China. The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty in lead roles.

Shah Rukh Khan’s psychological thriller Fan was released in China but unlike the other Bollywood films released in China so far, did not open to a great response. But Shahrukh Khan is one of the most loved stars in China too!

Now it’s time to see how Bajrangi Bhaijaan will fare at the Chinese box office. The fact that there are no international films releasing in China during that time is good news for the film!
