They might seem like superheroes to a common man because we are so used to seeing them fight the bad guys or pull off unthinkable stunts etc. but we don’t realise that these larger than life characters we watch on the big screen are actually human too!

Take the case of Saif Ali Khan who was recently Injured while shooting for his forthcoming film, Kaalakaandi. Saif injured his thumb while shooting the wedding song of the film, Kaala Doreya. The song which is part of a wedding scene in the film has a special performance by Akshay Oberoi and Amyra Dastur with Saif Ali Khan joining in with his funny moves.

At the end of the song, Saif was required to make an action of shooting a gun in the air. The team was using a real gun with dummy bullets. Saif was keen to do a practice shot so that the people around him in the scene would know the sound, light, and impact of the shot since the entire mechanism changes from a real to dummy bullet. While discussing the same with the action team the actor pulled the trigger, that’s when the pressure from the recoil injured his thumb and he had to be rushed to the hospital!

Earlier Shah Rukh Khan posted an image of himself with an injury mark on his arm and joked about it saying it was a love bite! Shah Rukh is famous for getting injured on set quite often, he’s earlier injured himself while shooting for Darr, Ra.One and Chennai Express among others.The most recent incident was when he narrowly escaped getting injured on the set of Zero when a portion of the ceiling collapsed! While SRK escaped two crew members got minor injuries.

Shahid Kapoor too had his share of injury or should we say injuries during the shoot of the controversial film, Padmavati now named Padmavat. The actor, who will be seen playing the part of Maharawal Ratan Singh opposite Deepika Padukone’s Rani Padmavati suffered a ligament tear in his ankle while shooting some action sequence for the film.

Alia Bhatt injured her arm while shooting in Coonoor for an action sequence for Karan Johar’s Kapoor and Sons. The actress shared pictures of the same on her Twitter handle with a caption, “There goes my celebration on #InternaitonalYogaDay #bummer.”

Actor Rajkummar Rao too fractured his left leg on the sets of Farah Khan’s Lip Sync Battle where he was promoting his film Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana but being the professional and dedicated actor he is, he managed to take some time out for an interview with journalists, before heading to a doctor for a surgery!

Kangana Ranaut suffered a deep gash on her forehead while shooting for her upcoming film Rani Lakshmibai. She suffered a ligament tear in her right foot after a stunt went wrong and had to be taken to Jodhpur hospital where she was advised a week-long bed rest by the doctors.

Funnily Kangan’s not so favorite person, Hrithik Roshan too suffered a ligament tear while shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro and was asked to take bed rest for almost a month.Before his leg, he had also injured his shoulder during the shooting of the same film.

Ranveer Singh fell off a horse while shooting for his film Bajirao Mastani and had to undergo a shoulder surgery. He had to wear an arm sling for some months after that.

Sonam Kapoor’s brother, actor Harshvardhan, got injured while shooting a very important scene during the climax sequence of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya.The actor received a major blow near one of his ears which affected his hearing and he had to undergo treatment for the same.

So you see it’s not always a cake walk being a Bollywood celebrity!
