Puducherry – This Is The Best Time To Visit It, Hurry Up!!!

Puducherry, historically known as Pondicherry, is one of the best places to Visit in India. Being a union territory, it lies in the southern part of the Indian Peninsula. This was one of the French colonies in the French colonial empire until. Pondicherry was once a trading station for Roman manufactured goods. On 16 Aug 1954, all the French colonies were transferred to the Republic of India.

Best time to visit –

Puducherry is best visited from October to March as the temperature varies from 15-25 degrees centigrade. Over many years, Puducherry is known to be one of the best places for a great vacation. It has been a gem in Southern India. Summer season is not a good time to visit this place as the temperature touches 40 degrees occasionally. Monsoon is also a good time to visit as this place don’t have heavy rainfalls. It depends on the person though who could have their taste of sight-seeing.  Festivals happen in different seasons which attract travelers to experience the culture in that place.

Places to visit –

Paradise Beach

Paradise Beach is located in Chunnamber, close to town. This is an isolated beach which takes around 20 minutes from shore on a ferry. The sand during the time of sunset brings out the beauty of the beach and nature. The beautiful part is the time we spend to reach here. The birds, sea waves make you feel refreshed and relaxed. If you are lucky, you might even see a few dolphins. A variety of water sports are also available. The best time to visit this place is early mornings and during sunset.  Enjoy your time by taking a walk or sitting relaxed by enjoying the scenery.

Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple –

It is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh. Many great scholars wrote poems and songs on the idol of this temple. From the donations given by devotees, the temple trust made a golden chariot. The total weight of the gold used in this chariot is 7.5 kg with the estimate of around Rs.35 lakhs. Devotees offer their prayers by pulling the chariot during Vijayadashami.

Rock Beach –

If you admire the beauty of nature, then this beach will be on your favorites list.  It is also called as Gandhi Beach (Don’t know the reason why it is called though). One can sit on rocks and enjoy the sea view with a cool atmosphere (I know, you are feeling it right now).

Sri Aurobindo Ashram –

This is the perfect spot to appreciate the serenity. People experience the divine power here and the feel the positivity in the atmosphere. This ashram is known for its community service throughout the world. Aurobindo and his followers established this ashram after he got down from politics. They offer many services for free and expanded his ashram. At the centre of the ashram, the samadi of Sri Aurobindo and the mother lie.

If you’re looking for the most romantic Pondicherry Beaches, then Serenity Beach is an idyllic escape to spend some time with your loved one. The specialty of the beach is the beautiful view of the Indian ocean.
