Features Of Mirage 2000 Jet Used By India For Air Strike

India currently has almost three squadrons of Mirage 2000 fighter jet which are manufactured by French Aerospace major Dassault Aviation. Indian Armed Force carried out an air strike against Pakistan’s biggest terror camps Jaish-E-Mohammed in Pakistan’s Balakot Region. Mirage 2000 multi-aircraft was chosen for the strike to hit targets.

Features of Mirage 2000

  • The Jet is available in single-seater and two-seater options
  • The maximum climbing speed is 60000 feet per minute and also designed for all weather
  • Mirage 2000 has a length of 14.36 meter and a wingspan of 91.3 meters; the weight is 7500 kg with a total take-off weight of 17000 kg
  • The total number of 583 Mirage, 2000 fighter jets built over 30 years
  • Apart from India, Dassault sold the jet to eight other countries which include France, Taiwan, Egpyt, UAE, Peru, Greece, and Brazil
