15 Beautiful Babes Who Starred in Star Wars Universe Ranked

Star Wars first debuted in 1977 and the first Film didn’t feature a lot of women. Since that time, the brand has gone global and Disney’s purchase and subsequent release of films have brought more attention and a hell of a lot of beautiful women into a galaxy far far away.

Nifa & Nishan Hindes – Ann & Tann Gella

These beautiful ladies are Nifa and Nishan Hindes, identical twin models fro Gloucestershire, UK. They have been featured in numerous men’s magazines to include FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World and People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People back in 1998.

Ann & Tann Gella appeared in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace as twin Twi’lek slaves of Sebulba–that guy who tried to knock Anakin out of the Pod Race. They were featured in a ton of promotional material for the film, but only grabbed a few seconds of screen time in the end.

Femi Taylor – Oola

Speaking of Twi’Lek’s, the original sexy green alien from a galaxy far, far away was played by Femi Taylor back in Return of the JediYou might remember her as the slave girl who falls into the Rancor pit and gets somewhat consumed by the monster under Jabba’s palace.

Taylor’s major film credit was Jedi, but she has worked as a professional dancer and actress since 1980. She even returned to the Star Wars universe in 1997 to shoot new scenes for George Lucas’ Special Edition re-release of the original trilogy.

Michonne Bourriague – Aurra Sing

Michonne Bourriague is an American model who portrayed Aurra Sing for a brief appearance in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The majority of her career has been spent modeling as she has only appeared in Episode I and Star Wars at 30.

Aurra Sing is a bounty hunter of some notoriety who first appeared in Episode I, but was later featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The character was modeled after Bourriague whose body remains a part of the Star Wars universe long after her brief second or two appearances while watching the Pod Race.

Gwendoline Christie – Captain Phasma

It’s likely you recognize Gwendoline Christie’s gorgeous look from her time on Game of Thrones where she plays Brienne of Tarth rather than her character in Star Wars. She played Captain Phasma in Star Wars The Force Awakens and wore her silver First Order Stormtrooper armor throughout the entire film.

Christie first started her professional career as a model thanks to her rather impressive height of 1.91 meters (6’3″).She continued to work in modeling for years before landing the role on GoT in 2012. Besides that, she has appeared in eight films with two more coming out in 2018.

Leanna Walsman – Zam Wesell

Leanna Walsman is an Australian actress who first gained international exposure for her work on Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. She then went on to continue working in films well into 2015, mostly acting in shorts. She has spent more time on the small screen with roles in series to include Hercules, The Pacific, and Wentworth.

She was cast to play Zam Wessell in Attack of the Clones, a shape-shifting bounty hunter who failed to kill Padmé Amidala in her bedroom. She was chased across the city-planet of Coruscant by the Jedi only to be struck down by Jango Fett before she could be pressed for questioning.

Bonnie Piesse – Beru Lars

Bonnie Piesse is another Australian actress to take on a role in a Star Wars film, though she wasn’t on screen for very long. She isn’t just an actress, but also a singer/songwriter and a trapeze artist of sorts thanks to her role as one in the film High Flyers. It was that performance that attracted the attention of George Lucas who cast her to play Beru in Star Wars: Episode II and Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

While she didn’t have much to say in the two films she was in, Beru Lars was the wife of Owen, Luke Skywalker’s aunt and uncle. They adopted Luke at the end of Episode III and raised him to be the farmboy we met in Star Wars from the original trilogy.

Amy Allen – Aayla Secura

Though she is clearly beautiful and would do well in front of the camera, Amy Allen spends most of her time working on film crews. She has worked behind the scenes on films including A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, Elektra, The Hunted, Gangs of New York, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and many more. She stepped in front of the camera only twice to play Aayla Secura in Episode II and III.

Aayla Secura was a Twi’Lek Jedi who appeared briefly in both films and was killed off rather suddenly after Emperor Palpatine executed Order 66 resulting in the deaths of most of the Jedi across the galaxy.

Orli Shoshan – Jedi Master Shaak Ti

Orli Shoshan hails from Israel and a former member of the Israeli Defense Force (Like pretty much all citizens of that country). Her time in the military prepared her for the role of a lifetime given her expertise in melee weaponry and hand-to-hand combat. She only ever appeared in Episodes II and III though her role was uncredited in the film.

Shoshan played Jedi Master Shaak Ti, a member of the Jedi Council in Episode II who escaped the Great Jedi Purge after the passing of Order 66. She was killed by General Grievous in a deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith, but this was changed since the scene wasn’t intended to be released. She was instead killed by Darth Vader during his attack on the Jedi Temple while she was in meditation.

Lupita Nyong’o – Maz Kanata

Lupita Amondi Nyong’o is a Kenyan-Mexican actress who gained international attention and a little golden statue for her performance of Patsey in 12 Years a Slave. That role was only her second in a feature film, the first being for a short. She has also modeled and provided her voice to video games and films. It’s her voice that lands her on this list as she played Max Kanata in Last Jedi.

Nobody would look at Maz and think that such a gorgeous woman was behind her voice. Maz is a short, yellow-ish, old woman and longtime friend of Han Solo whom we meet in her castle-turned watering hole as Rey, BB-8, Finn, and the rest land to take a breath and get onto the second act of the film.

Rose Byrne – Dormé

Rose Byrne is an Australian actress who has been steadily working in Hollywood since 2000 though her first appearance was in Dallas Doll in 1994. She is probably best known for her role of Moira MacTaggart in X-Men: First Class and Helen Harris III in Bridesmaids.

Byrne played Dormé in Episode II, a handmaiden to Senator Padmé Amidala during the Separatist Crisis. She didn’t have much direct screen time, but traveled with Amidala from Naboo to Coruscant and remained on her side through multiple assassination attempts.

Felicity Jones – Jyn Erso

Felicity Jones is an English actress who first began her professional career in acting with a role at the age of 12 in The Treasure Seekers. Since that time, she has appeared in numerous films, including Brideshead Revisited, The Tempest, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and The Theory of Everything in 2014 as Jane Hawking.

Jones played Jyn Erso in the first Star Wars standalone film, rogue One in 2016. She was the main character in that film and responsible for retrieving the Death Star Plans that would set off the events of the entire original trilogy.

Keira Knightley – Sabé

Keira Knightley stormed into international attention with her portrayal of Elizabeth Swan in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in 2003, but her second film credit came in 1999 when she played Sabé, the decoy queen from Episode I.

You probably saw her through the entire film and didn’t realize it was her, but that’s because she was covered in makeup and made up to look like Queen Amidala. If you look closely, it was Keira Knightley the whole time.

Natalie Portman – Padmé Amidala

Natalie Portman is an Israeli-American actress whose first appearance on film was in Luc Besson’s Leon: The Professional where she played a 10-year-old assassin in training who fell in love with the titular killer. Her performance was incredible given her young age at the time and she has been blowing up Hollywood every since.

Speaking of Queen Amidala, Natalie Portman took on the role of the Queen of Naboo and later Senator and mother to Luke and Leia through the entire prequel trilogy. Amidala became the love interest to Anikin, a boy she met when he was… well, a little boy. We guess they do things differently over in the Star Wars universe, but given Anikin’s maturity level being a factor in his fall from grace, perhaps she should have hesitated.

Daisy Ridley – Rey

Daisy Ridley is an English actress who worked in short films and a little television before she landed her breakout role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015. Prior to her time on the film, she provided her voice acting talents for the English dub of the Japanese animated film Only Yesterday and has performed as a vocal artist and dancer as well as a model.

Her breakout role was as Rey, the main character from The Force Awakens who traveled across the stars after stealing the Millenium Falcon only to realize she was strong with the Force and capable of standing up to the Sith. She is set to play a major part in the coming sequels.

Carrie Fisher – Princess Leia Organa

Carrie Fisher was the first of many beautiful women to take on a role in the Star Wars universe with her portrayal of Princess Leia Organa. She may have been beautiful when she first appeared in Star Wars and still gorgeous in The Empire Strikes Back, but fans will never forget her costume pictured above, which has thankfully been a common go-to at Halloween since the early 80s.

Princess Leia is an iconic character in film and one of the first truly important female leads in science fiction. Fisher’s big break came with her landing of the role in 1977, two years following her film debut in Shampoo. Sadly, Fisher passed away in December 2016 but was able to reprise her role in the Star Wars: The Last Jedi set to come out in December 2017.
