I´m not exactly a sketchbook Artist. Most of my sketches tend to lead nowhere and what usually happens is that 99% of all my Illustration work that starts with some kind of sketch or pre-planning stage will inevitably end up looking like something totally different in the end.
Almost nothing of the illustration work you see on my site was planned. I like to take a blank canvas and simply paint, create from scratch not knowing what my next brush stroke will look like or what color will I use next.
So I have no idea why, but I just doodled this little thing here. I was searching for new ideas to do a bunch of pics more inspired by Oz and also by The Neverending Story ( as most of my fantasy pics are anyway ) and this came out.
So here it is. Now I´m going to take this and try to do something out of it and I can bet the end illustration will also have nothing to do with what is on this “initial” sketch.
I know that people like to see sketch work and rough drawings so I´ll try to post some more in the future.
