Senator Ademola Adeleke was born on the 13th of may 1960 in Enugu. He was birthed into a well do and respected family of Ede in Osun state. He had a Muslim father and Nnena Esther Adeleke – a Igbo Christian mother. Ademola’s father was a devout and committed muslim man while his mother on the other side is a strong and also committed Igbo Christian mother.

Late Ayoola Raji Adeleke was his father, the Balogun of Ede land in Osun state, his father was a perceptive politician, he was also a second republic senator and also important and cherished political pillar of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) while working together with the historic and legendary premier of western Nigeria in the person of Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Educational Background

He had his primary school education at Methodist Primary School, Surulere Lagos. He then relocated to Old Oyo State where he attended Nawarudeen Primary School, Ikire. He preceded to The Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School, Ede also in the then Old Oyo State and moved to Muslim Grammar School Ede.

After spending some time at Muslim Grammar School Ede, he let Nigeria to study abroad with his two other brothers on a scholarship. He has his first taste of Higher institution at Jacksonville State University Alabama in United State of America where he read Criminal Justice and minoring in Political Science.

Career And Political Ambition

He stated off as a business man and administrator, he was assigned as the Group Executive Director at his brother’s company, Pacific Holdings Limited from 2001-2016. Before joining the his brother’s company, he has already worked with Quicksilver Courier Company in Atlanta, Georgia, USA as a Service Contractor in 1985-1989. From there, he ported to Origin International LLC, Atlanta, Georgia, USA a flavours and fragrance manufacturing company as Vice President from 1990-1994.

He started his political ambition as a community member and philanthropist. He officially started his political career in 2001 alongside his late brother Senator Isiaka Adeleke who passed in April 2017. In the Osun west 2017 by-election, he contested and emerged as the winner under the People’s Democratic Party.

Some time ago, Ademola was a member of the All Progressives Congress also abbreviated as APC until he decamped to the People’s Democratic Party. He was picked as the flag bearer of,governorship candidate of PDP in Osun State for 2018 election after defeating Akin Ogunbiyi by 7 votes.

Certificate Scandal And Forgery

He was accused of forgery of his secondary school Testimonial and WAEC result in order to cancel his governorship candidacy, and was charged to the Osogbo high court for it. The issue started when the Testimonial Adeleke submitted to INEC dated July 20th, 1988 as its Heading Ede Muslim Grammar School, Osun State, as at that year Osun state was not in existence.

Also the SSCE results indicated in the testimonial shows that the mode of examination wasn’t existing in the year 1981 Another Testimonial with the Heading Ede Muslim High school dated 2018, indicates that the Principal which signed the 1988 Testimonial also signed the 2018 Testimonial, this led to the arrest of the Principal by the Nigerian Police. Adeleke’s lawyer in his defense claims his secondary school hasn’t come out to denial his Testimonial asking the court to dismiss the Case. The court dismissed the suit stating that the plaintiff could not prove Adeleke’s forgery of the certificate.

Personal Life

He is the proud father of two Nigerian super stars B-Red, Sina Rambo namely and the uncle of popular Nigerian singer Davido. If you don’t know him then you must have heard the name “Dancing senator” if you are active on social media.
