Minnie Dlamini popularly known as Minenhle Jones was born on 7th July 1990 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa. She had her high school education at Northlands Girls’ High School , after completing her basic education she then proceeded to the University of Cape Town where she studied film, media, drama and economics before committing herself into her career fully.

Minenhle Dlamini was raised in a small and well-mannered family. She is the daughter of  Mr “Jabulani Dlamini” and Mrs “Queen Dlamini”. She was raised by her biological parents in a small family which include her father, her mother and her two older brothers. Dlamini brothers name are “Maphe Dlamini and Khomeini Dlamini” . Her career page opened while she was still studying at the University of Cape Town, she was selected as a presenter for LIVE on 16 June 2010 and she later made her debut screen appearance while covering the “Youth Day” and “World Cup celebrations” shows. After that chapter, she co-hosted Mzansi Insider, a SABC 1’s lifestyle show.

Fast forward to 2012, she left her show with the aim to pursue a career in acting without nothing to draw her back anymore. The following year, she switched to sports broadcasting by co-hosting Soccerzone with Thomas Mlambo until in 2016 when the show’s format was modified by SABC 1. Minnie Dlamini officially made her debut as a film actress in SABC 1 TV soap opera “Generations” where she made a guest appearance as Miranda. She also landed more roles playing lead role as Zintle Lebone in the soap The Wild and as Nosipho Bogatsu in Rockville. Dlamini was announced as the new face of South African departmental store LEGit in September 2011 with her own fashion range, the Minnie-Series.

Minnie Dlamini got married to Quinton Jones on July 8, 2017 in a traditional marriage which took place in Glenn Hills, Durban North. The white wedding went down on September 16. Several South African celebrities were in attendance including; Jimmy Tau, Zakes Bantwini, Basetsana Kumalo, Anele Mdoda, Jessica Nkosi, Criselda Dudumashe, Nandi Madida, Unathi Msengana and many others.

Minenhle Dlamini founded a charity organization , the Minnie Dlamini Foundation in the year 2014 . She set up the charity organization with the aim of helping young South African girls have access to sound education.
