Nonso Diobi is a veteran Nollywood actor , producer, firm director, businessman, entrepreneur, GLO Ambassador, philanthropist etc. The handsome Nigerian actor is one of the most prolific Nollywood actors that have featured in over 60Nollywod firms in over a decade. He launched his acting career whilst studying Theatre Art at the University of Nigeria, he made his debut on-screen appearance in a 2001 film titled “Border Line”. Early Life And Background

Nonso Diobi is a prolific Nigerian Nollywood actor that was birthed on July 17 1976 in Enugu to Mr Diobi’s family. He was bred in Anambra state, in the Eastern region of Nigeria. Diobi is a native of Nawfia, a town in Njikoka, Enugu State, Nigeria . He is from a happy and contented family of of five, two girls and three boys and he is the last born of the family . As the last child of the family, he didn’t feel relaxed waiting for his family to take full responsibility of him , Nonso did not see himself as an “over-pampered” last child, he prefer to fed for himself because he wanted to become somebody very important in the society. His drive for money led him into starting his own business at a tender age when he sold clothes to his school mates in his high school. Unlike several Nigerian entertainers especially actors and actresses who didn’t get support from their parents to venture into acting, Nonso had the full support of his parents before he started acting .

Nonso Diobi started his acting career in his parent’s local church where he partook in staged plays. In year 2001, Nonso thought it wise to take his acting skills from stage plays into Nollywood officially. He took his acting skills to the next level and has since featured in many Nollywood movies. His debut Movie is “Border Line” that was shot by prime director “Adim William”.

According to Nonso;

“Growing up was tough, it was filled with challenges because i didn’t come from a rich family, I struggled through everything. In my family we have to work to get what we wanted and because my mum is a strong woman she never gave up on us. Things were so hard back then that I had to selling cheap clothes to my friends in school just to survive, That memory makes me laugh compared to my life now” he recounted.

Career

Nonso was officially introduced to the world in the movie titled “Border line” and it was recorded and released in 2001, the movie was directed by one of the top Nollywood directors named  — Adim William. This was Nonso’s first major Nollywood movie and it made him an household name . His acting career got a boost when he featured in a movie titled “Hatred” which was his second movie. The ace actor is the first Nigerian actor to be signed under New York’s Jton Productions, and this movie making organization is working with the prolific, dynamic and multi-talented actor to produce some of best but yet-to-be-released movies in the industry. Some of his most notable movies include “Caught in the act’, “Palace Slave”, Overseas, The Last 3 Digits, Makers of Justice, Palace Slave, Beyond Desire, Too Much.… they are also his most recent firms in case you want to watch them. Nonso has been linked with many women some which are actresses, from observations it appears that the actor doesn’t want to get hooked down anytime soon. Some time ago, there was a report that Nonso Diobi married secretly outside Nigeria but the stories were later found to be baseless. The actor has obviously reduced the number of social appearances he engages and mystery surrounding is marital status will soon unraveled.

Nonso Diobi’s relationship status has been more of controversies in recent times as the handsome and talented Nollywood star has never been reported to be married on caught in any relationship. He was reported to have declared to his twitter fans on September 9 2012, that he has not been in an intimate relationship for the past 2 years , he further revealed that his businesses and movie acting has been stopping him from settling down. Nollywood actor, Nonso Diobi, was involved in an accident last year He was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention, had in a ‘thankful’ Instagram post, shared a photo of his injured leg wrapped. He, however, did not reveal the kind of accident he was involved in.

The light-skinned actor, @nonsodiobi1, shared: “Had an accident yesterday evening, my leg all plastered up but I believe that sometimes God allows some things to happen to people so we can know who our true friends are.
