Women will be ruling this years Miss Universe Pageant, but not just on the stage.This year, the judging panel boasts an all-female line up, marking the first time in the pageant’s 67 year history.
Miss Universe Organisation President Paula Shugart announced the seven Female Judges will sit on the panel for both the preliminary and final competitions.
“Each committee member is an inspiring woman who reflects our commitment to improving opportunities for our titleholders personally and professionally year-round, and are role models to these young women who are our leaders of tomorrow,” a statement from Ms Shugart said.
The all-female board of judges is not the only first for this years pageant, for the first time two Filipino judges will sit on the panel.
Filipino-American designer Monique Lhuillier has dressed Hollywood’s elite and prominent political figures, such as Sandra Bullock, Taylor Swift, Reese Witherspoon, Michelle Obama and Melania Trump
