There’s no denying that we are partial to a Wedding theme, and Abi and Rob’s earthy and natural themed wedding is a definite winner for us.

Hosted in the Shropshire countryside, at the stunning Davenport House, Abi and Rob’s wedding featured lots of greenery, autumnal vibes, hints of metallic teal plus lots of happy faces and laughter between friends and family.

It was a treat to look back at their big day including their wedding reception party which featured our very own Wildermen, taking to the stage and stirring up a frenzy! Read on to find out all about Abi and Rob’s special day.

The Venue:

We can certainly see why Abi and Rob chose this venue to host their nuptials. It’s got the gorgeous views, the characterful staircase and small details that make each and every corner stand out.

With enough rooms for guests to mill around, outdoor space for a drinks reception, a vast hall for the ceremony plus dance-floor-ready rooms for the evening party, it’s the ideal location for all of your wedding celebrations.

Getting Ready:

Bridesmaids, kids and close family were all part of Abi’s morning getting ready. With hair and make-up ticked off the list and dresses on, they were ready for action.

Abi’s dress was a lace dream, with a bodice donned with sparkles, lace and detailing, that continued down the sleeves and skirt. She went for long curled bridal hair with a signature silver and pearl tiara head-piece to finish off the look. Her bouquet was a picture of green foliage, which was a running theme throughout the day.

The Ceremony:

Lined with lanterns and candles, guests waiting in the hall for the bride’s entrance. Abi walked down the grand staircase to join Rob at the end of the aisle where, hand in hand, they said their vows and before you knew it, they were Mr and Mrs!

A flurry of colourful confetti greeted them as they head outside and walked down the front steps of Davenport House. Family and friends congratulated them and enjoyed a social drinks reception outside where they had bottles of bubbly and a relaxed atmosphere of chatter.

Daytime:

Continuing the theme, their wedding breakfast was held in a large hall decorated with green foliage, handmade wooden table names plus place cards with dried flowers. The natural styling and earthy vibes are really unique and elegant!

After some group shots and couple shots across Davenport House’s land, they were ready for the evening celebrations to begin with a bang! (Or should we say band?)

The Evening:

First things first… cake, always! Their “naked” cake was perfect and looked so yummy, and shortly after the cake cutting, Abi and Rob took to the floor for their first dance.

It wasn’t long before all their guests, young and old, joined them on the Dance Floor. It’s our favourite thing to see so many people loving the band and their music.

Abi and Rob booked The Wildermen to perform at their wedding reception, to fill the room with feel-good music, toe-tapping grooves and sing-along classics. The Wildermen trio, consisting of their singing-guitarist, double bassist and drummer, specialise in uplifting tunes that brighten up the room at wedding receptions and parties. They are big on crowd interaction and are experts at keeping guests on the dance floor.

We love these snapshots of the evening, showing that everyone really did have the best night!

“I just wanted to say The Wildermen played at our wedding and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE. Matt was the kindest, most genuine soul to deal with and made from start to finish an absolute pleasure. They were lovely lads, created such a fantastic atmosphere, they found the right balance between creating a good atmosphere but also playing the right amount of songs to get everyone on the dance floor. All I keep hearing from my guests is how much they loved the band. I just couldn’t fault them.”
