We’re delighted to join you on the blog today with a wonderful feature of Rachael and Will’s big day with The Footmen.

As you’ll see, their tinsel-decked venue did the talking and really set the scene for their Christmas fairytale. All the sparkly lights and added touches made Rachael and Will’s day even more magical.

They were so pleased to be able to secure the show-stopping Footmen trio for their Wedding reception, but we’ll get to that later. Firstly, let’s introduce you to Rachael and Will’s love story that ended in a very happy Mr and Mrs.

How did you meet?

At a house party in London.

How did you propose?

We had just been kayaking and he proposed straight after.

How did you choose your venue?

We loved the idea of getting married in December and Holkham had the most amazing Christmas decorations!

How did your wedding reflect you as a couple?

It was a fun day filled with lots of family and friends and laughter.

Did you have a style or theme?

Winter wedding & traditional English.

How did you personalise your wedding?

We had lots of touches such as cricket-themed table names and a ‘Cruella De Vil’ Rolls Royce as I love Disney!

Getting Ready For The Big Day:

Rachael and the girls all got ready at home, with hair and makeup artist on hand to help them feel even more fabulous for the special occasion!

For her wedding day, Rachael opted for a GORGEOUS v-neck plunge lacey dress with a full skirt, topped off with a statement tiara… giving us major princess vibes.

The Ceremony:

Rachael and Will had a beautiful church wedding with close friends and family. Rachael literally “rolled up” in a Rolls Royce, in style and walked down the aisle to marry her best friend.

Smiles were all around as they said “I Do” and they finally became Mr and Mrs.

Wedding Details:

Off to the reception venue now, at Holkham Hall, and WOW what a venue. The grand staircase is something out of a Disney film, with stunning details, Christmas baubles and lights – we just love it!

And you definitely cannot have a wedding around Christmas time, and not have your group shots by the humungous tree!

Who did you pick for your wedding entertainment and how did you choose them?

Entertainment Nation with The Footmen, I watched loads of band videos and theirs just seemed the coolest! We also had a caricature artist, Canny Caricatures.

What did your entertainment bring to the big day?

Lots of fun! Our guests loved the band and we’ve had lots of good comments! They also loved having their caricatures drawn to take home!

How was it booking entertainment through Entertainment Nation?

Great! Really easy to do and the team were very friendly!

What was your favourite moment?

Probably having a moment to reflect in the wedding car!

Anything you’d change?

Covid, meaning it was a year late!

Any funny moments?

Too many to remember!

What tips do you have for other couples planning their wedding?

Organisation is key!
