DaTownCrier drops “In the Name of LOVE” on Dilla day
DaTownCrier comes with his first track of 2019 titled “In the Name of LOVE” produced by the Late Legendary American Hip Hop producer J-Dilla.
For Hip Hop fans who don’t really know who J-Dilla is, he was one of the fathers of sampling in hip hop music production. And he is one of the best to ever do it. He inspired plenty hip hop producers like Kanye West, 9th Wonder, Just Blaze and others, and is recognized by the legends in Hip Hop.
He died on the 10th of February 2006 with a rare from of Cancer. Since then February has been celebrated as “Dilla Month” in Hip Hop, since even his birthday is 3 days earlier.
In that accord, DaTownCrier who has been a fan of Dilla decided to drop a jam on his memorial day. Produced by Dilla, this is to promote the essence of why we do music. Like a line on the track says “Cos am focus on making things better/ my flows like making jeans sweater/ cos we living in a winter world”.
In other words, Music ought to be made in Love in order to bless your SOUL. That is the main message DaTownCrier is trying to lay across to the audience. This jam is the sheeeeeet. If you like internal rhyming and unpredictable homorhyms, the you got to cop this!!!
The track is also in preparation for his upcoming debut project titled “A Dose Of Pure Consciousness” . And it drops before the end of April.
