Canon Open Its First Official Store in Pakistan

Canon announced its invasion of retail space with the launch of an exclusive retail Store called Canon Photo Box in Pakistan.

The first store opened in Karachi, located in Zamzama Street by MMB Manager Int. Mr. Mansoor Khan, President of Canon in Singapore, Ms. Noriko Gungi and Country Director, Mr. Canon Sarchar Ali.

The retail store covers an area of ​​about 1,450 square feet and is based on a franchise model along with the Canon Imaging Academy. It is a one stop destination for people with photography needs, allowing increased visibility and access throughout the country with the aim of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.




The main feature of these CIS stores is that these are the only cameras stores in Pakistan that employ a touch and try concept for a full range of professional, semi-professional, amateur cameras and all equipment related to photography.

Canon, Pakistan, plans to open five such stores by December 2017, followed by 10 retail stores in 2018, 50 in 2019 and 50 more stores in 2020, with count to 100 stores in the next three years.

The first year will see the launch of three stores in Karachi followed by another in Lahore and one in Islamabad. The stores promote the Canon’s emphasis on promoting brand awareness and increasing sales. The area covered by each port varies from a minimum of 800 square feet to a maximum of 1,300 square feet.

“Today’s customers are very knowledgeable and educated, and we are constantly evolving to provide them with the right choices by understanding their needs,” said Noriko Gungi, President of Canon Sengapur.

Pakistani customers demand the best products, top lifestyle quotient, good quality selling interface and state of the art after-sales service is similar to international standards. The store will provide solutions for customers looking for high-end imaging and printing solutions where Canon’s click and print products are available.

The first retail store launched today in Karachi, the second in Pakistan, aims to provide customers with a single terminal to meet their digital needs that will lead to a satisfied and stronger customer base, helping the company’s business significantly.

We have achieved a record 50 per cent growth in 2016 and expect more this year. Imagine Square, a unique concept by Canon, offers a wide range of consumer products including cameras, camcorders, D-SLRs, lenses and accessories. Each store contains more than 40 scoops on the screen.

The wide range of products allows the customer to enjoy a rich technological experience with an environment to make a purchase. The customer can touch, feel and know the product and then make an informed purchase.
