PSG 4-0 Barcelona: Catalans ripped apart in Paris

A dominant Paris Saint-Germain display saw Barcelona fall to a 4-0 thumping at the Parc des Princes on Valentine’s night.
The French giants scored twice in each half to record the massive result in the first leg of their last-16 tie of the Champions League against the Catalans.
Birthday boy Angel Di Maria struck twice – on 18 minutes and another in the second half.

Di Maria gave the hosts the lead as his free-kick clipped off the wall before ending up in the back of the Barcelona net.
It was 2-0 before half-time, as Julian Draxler fired home from a tight angle to double the home side’s advantage in Paris. It was the German internationals ‘s first goal in the Champions League for his new club, following his move from Wolfsburg.
The third arrived 10 minutes after the interval as Di Maria scored his second from outside the area, before being replaced
Edinson Cavani put a superb performance in on a stunning night in France, with the Uruguayan finally scoring a goal himself.
Barcelona now need a miraculous recovery when the two sides meet at the Nou Camp in three weeks’ time.
