A live music session with Tajdar Junaid & Friends

Reaching the venue forSwaraaChapter II, I was intrigued and enamored, not just by the lush green farm, but by the Music weaving its magic in the air. The sound of Cajon, Charango and Violin mixing and crashing on the ears so delicately, like calming waves lapping softly at a beach.
I didn't know then that I was listening to a composition from 'What color is your raindrop', which would later feature in my personal playlist. This album has been hailed as one of the Top Albums of 2013 by Rolling Stone and Rock Street Journal.
And the man behind this inspiring piece of work.
Tajdar Junaid.
A Multi-instrumentalist,
A Songwriter,
A Composer,
A Producer.
Tajdar Junaid has taken the Indian indie music scene by storm! The Kolkata-based 31 year-old singer and songwriter is specially known for playing the Charango, a small ten stringed lute that lends his music that earthy yet ethereal resonance which is instantly-identifiable.
Tajdar's music career stands witness to his musical versatility. An avid guitarist, he played with former Kolkata rock band Cognac, a pop-rock band Span, played jazz tunes and blues with Stella, even gotten into folk genre playing alongside the Bengali urban singer-songwriter Moushumi Bhowmik, in the band Ruhaniyat
Serenaded by Bhaskar Dutta at violins and supported by Anand Bhagat at Cajun, Djembe and, would you believe it, Ghungroos, the trio entranced the audience in a musical spell.
