An important intermediary in Hofer-Fischer exchanges, as well as many of Wolff-Hardt’s transactions for the Linz Library. Travelled frequently to Switzerland during the war. Key fiure in movement of looted works of art between Germany and Switzerland.

VOSS bought directly from him a Zumbusch Boy in a Sweater (#3551), which reached Munich on 5 July 1944.
